Where we are

"The Mountain" is in the hinterland of the Central Coast of NSW, an upland region to the West of Gosford and Wyong. It lies at an altitude of about 300 metres (1000 feet) and has an annual rainfall of about 1300mm. Temperatures range from a mean minimum of 5.3 degrees C in July to a mean maximum of 27.4 degrees C in January.

It is a roughly cruciform plateau liberally peppered with springs, and the soil is suitable for growing a diverse range of produce. Deep gullies, eons old, have been excavated by the tributaries of the complex creek system. Made roads, and consequently settlement, are mainly confined to the ridge tops.
